Go back Our Grovsnus, Loose ReviewManufactured by Swedish Match and one of the oldest brands in Sweden, Grovsnus loose was launched in 1912 as simply a tobacco flavored snus. Grov loose is classified as a coarse ground snus which means that the tobacco pieces are a bit larger than the fine grind type. This leaves the surface area of each piece larger and easier to mold into a prilla. Also, coarser ground snus tends to hold a prilla’s shape longer no matter if you use a tool or hand shape it. The prilla we tested was made with a 3 ml tool and kept its shape for over 2 hours before it began to fall apart but the flavor could have lasted much longer! Each can of Grov loose contains 45 grams of snus with a Nicotine content of 8 mg per gram. The can is made of the same traditional paperboard bottom with a thin layer of food grade paraffin wax to keep the snus fresh. The lid is made from gold colored plastic with the Grovsnus logo embossed on the top and makes a pretty good seal with the bottom but, enough about the can, let’s talk about the flavor! As we said in the beginning, Grovsnus loose was launched back in 1912 as a purely tobacco flavored snus and used only a few ingredients. While the list is small, the ingredients are of high quality. Hand selected tobaccos from around the world mix with water, salt and a touch of smoke flavoring. What was achieved was a snus that has a smooth flavor of tobacco with a bit of salty sweetness from the smoke flavoring. We think that Grov loose would be great for the beginning snus user that wants to try loose for the first time because of its ease to mold and it’s pure, mild tobacco flavor but, this is what we think, we want to know what you think! Love this snus
 it's got an excellent tobbacco flavor that lasts longer than most. After 36 or so years of using Copenhagen I have a spot on the lower left cheek/lip that is now so deep I can't reach the bottom with my tongue. It is the perfect "pocket" to place a fairly large dip or prilla of about 2.5-3 grams and the fact I never spit nobody can even tell I use tobbacco. Grov is one snus I can leave in for hours, as a chain snuser/dipper I always have one in unless I'm eating a meal. Yes, I sleep with it sometimes too. It's an excellent replacement for Copenhagen.

For me, this is the perfect every day snus. I would say the cut is medium, perhaps slightly coarser than General. This is a no-nonsense, high-quality tobacco.

grov los is a very very good snus the flavor is nice and pure not full of sweeteners its just tobacco and a hint of smokiness i recomend this snus to any one looking for a pure snus

Pure tobacco flavor, no nonsense. Wish I had tried this one sooner. It's easy to bake and the pris holds together very well, which I attribute to the medium grind. If you've been an American straight dip user, this is a good snus for you to try.

I have used snus like 10 years now and 5 of them with ettan and general and 5 years with grovsnus the best what you can get. One lös "pris" lasts in my lip like 3 hours with other products but this one i can be 5 hours easily cuz i just love the taste! the best! greetings from Finland

If you thought plain old tobacco couldn't be delecious then you haven. Tried grovsnus it converted me to a straight tobacco fanatic. I went from gotebergs and claw qui to grov general and skruf. You must try this one time.

Great snus. No-nonsense tobacco taste, bakes easily, stays together well. I prefer the portion version, but this is a good lös to get your feet wet with, if you're looking to try something.

Basic, pure Swedish Match tobacco. I'm betting that this is the base for the majority of all SM snus. It has a coarser grind that most snus and packs into a nice prilla pretty darned well. Overall, it's pretty good.

Amazing tobacco taste. Feels wonderful on the gumps/lip. Very easy to bake a pris. Absolutely wonderful.

It's very good regular, no flavors added type snus. If your snus has to taste minty fresh then it's doubtful you are going to like this snus. That's not to say it's bad because it is top of the line if you're into "tobacco" flavor.

This is what I switched to after dipping Copenhagen for the past 10 years. Great flavor! Great snus!
