Go back Our Taboca Snus, Loose ReviewLaunched in 2004 and made by Taboca AS, Taboca loose snus is classified as a loose (lös in Swedish) type snus with a fine grind which means that the tobacco is ground to very small pieces and a texture like you would find in wet powder. Since the snus is a finer grind than other loose snus, a handmade prilla is a bit harder to make and doesn’t last as long as the one made by a tool. During out testing, the handmade prilla lasted about an hour and a half before falling apart while the tool made one lasted over two hours but, the flavor could last much longer. Each can of Taboca loose contains 35 grams of snus and a Nicotine content of 9 mg per gram. Taboca’s metal can is blue with the Taboca logo stamped in orange on the top and a bit thinner than its portion sibling but enough about the can, let’s go to the flavor! Taboca has a pretty unique taste but the scent is pretty special as well! Taboca AS describes Taboca loose as having a tobacco taste with aromas of lemon and fig. While we do taste the fine, hand selected tobaccos in Taboca, there is a secondary citrus taste that actually provides a bit of sweetness to the snus and balances out the salt. The scent of Taboca loose is the special part. Normally, most Swedish snus has an ammonia smell that is a natural process in the making of it. With Taboca loose, the ammonia smell is replaced with a sweet citrus smell that can only be described as a Tangerine scent! Although there is no Tangerine taste in the snus, the scent is a refreshing change from the norm but, we would like you to decide! I think this snus has a citrus/grapefruit type taste. I find it to be very good. Love the tin, not sure it is worth loosing anther 10g of snus though.

This reminds me very much of the Gotland Yellow Snus in aromatic. I love the tin can this snus came in. Very Classy. The flavor of this I found to be excellent, and like Gotland Yellow, it also has a persimmon like taste that is both sweet and somewhat tart. Good snus, but for the price, I'll stick with Gotland Yellow.

Smaller portion so it ends up costing more but it's worth it. The metal tin keeps it fresh much much longer. The taste is excellent, imo.

this is a good snus bit i didint get any fig tast what i got was a hint of orange and something else my only gripe with this snus is its only 35g where is the rest of it? it should have 45-50grams like the others this is a must try snus for those looking for a nice and mild snus

I am about 30 mins into my first prilla of this snus. Upon opening the tin it seemed only half full. The snus is easy to bake. But the flavour is coming across very bitter, the nic hit is ok.
My verdict if you want a premium snus then monte cristo lös is a much better flavour.

Yes it's a smaller portion than most loose snus options so it's not as cheap as it may seem but the flavour is excellent and the metal tin seems to keep it moist much longer than the snus that comes in waxy cardboard with plastic lids.
