Our Offroad Licorice, Loose Review

Manufactured to the same quality standards that snus made in Sweden is but made in Silkeborg, Denmark by V2 Tobacco, Offroad Licorice loose is classified as a coarse ground snus which means that the tobacco pieces are a bit larger than the fine grind type. This leaves the surface area of each piece larger and easier to mold into a prilla. Also, coarser ground snus tends to hold a prilla’s shape longer no matter if you use a tool or hand bake it. We tried both methods with Offroad Licorice and the first prilla we tested was made with a 3 ml tool and kept its shape for over 2 hours while the hand shaped prilla lasted a little less than 2 hours before it began to fall apart but, the flavor could have lasted much longer! Each can of Offroad Licorice loose contains 45 grams of snus with a Nicotine content of 8 mg per gram. The can is made of black plastic with the Offroad logo embossed in the glossy plastic lid but, you’re here for the flavor, not the can so, let’s take a look at the flavor! V2 wanted to make Offroad Licorice’s flavor to be unlike any other licorice flavored snus on the market and they did just that! While the flavor is unmistakably black licorice, as most other snus with the same flavor is, V2 did something that only a few others have done. V2 took the flavor to the extreme by making the black licorice taste a bit sweet while letting the tobacco flavor come thru as a background flavor. As the portion’s licorice flavor begins to mellow out, it mixes with the tobacco to create a smooth tasting loose snus that’s pretty unique. While this is what we think Offroad Licorice loose snus tastes like, we would like to read what you think about it. I rather like this flavor, but only every once and a while. I tend to get sick of it after a few dips. I would reccomend it, assuming you like licorice, of course.
