Go back Our Jakobssons Classic, Portion ReviewMade from select tobaccos from around the world including Alida tobacco, Jakobsson’s Classic portion snus is manufactured by Gotlandssnus AB on the island of Gotland, Sweden. Jakobsson’s Classic is classified as a regular type portion which means that each one goes thru an additional step in the manufacturing process that adds a bit more moisture to the portions prior to packaging them in the can. This additional moisture helps the flavors in the snus to meld together and release it faster when it’s in your lip. The material Gotlandssnus uses for Jakobsson’s Classic is the same soft material they use in all their snus and is pretty comfortable in the lip for about 2 hours. Each can of Jakobsson’s Classic contains 24, one gram portions with each one having 9 mg of Nicotine. Jakobsson’s can is made from black plastic with a unique, nautical compass theme embossed on the top as well as the inside bottom of the can and yes, there is a used portion compartment concealed under the center cap of the compass on the lid but, enough about the can, let’s talk taste! Jakobsson’s Classic’s flavor is as unique as it’s can in the fact that it uses Alida tobacco that’s grown on the same island where the snus is made. This type of tobacco has an earthy, herbal taste that blends really well with the hint of black pepper that the other tobaccos that are used to make Jakobsson’s Classic. There is also a citrus element that tastes like a mix of lemons and oranges that, when combined with the herbal and peppery flavors from the mix of tobaccos along with the slight saltiness, gives Jakobsson’s Classic its unique flavor. The scent from the can is pretty unique as well. Scents of Lemon and Orange zests are what we got from the can with no ammonia smell that is the norm of some Swedish snus. Overall, we think Jakobsson’s Classic has great flavor and will be liked by snus users old and new but, we want to hear what you think! Great lemon smell but just ok taste, might be better if it were more moist. It seems dry despite a good can date.

This was one of the add-on deals in my first order (2 cans with no extra shipping), but I actually got 4 due to the double up deal! This is a pretty tasty snus, quite a mild flavor but a nice nicotine kick. The can is really cool too, so that's a bonus. The only downside is that, as others mentioned, the portions are kind of an awkward shape. I would prefer a longer, thinner portion, but these are kind of fat and wide. They still fit under the lip just fine though, with no big lumps visible from the outside, so I can't complain!

This is decent. Good citrus notes, mild salt and tobacco taste. The pouches are large, fat and rough but acceptable. Overall better than their IceFruit which tastes like potpourri soaked in mouthwash.

Tried the ice fruit last time and got original and ice fruit this time and they are great, the original is slightly less potent a taste from general which is very nice, has a nice lemon taste that isn't too overpowering This brand has become my favorite

This snus has a really natural citrus flavor, tastes just like eating an orange. creates alot of spit at first, sometimes it has a strong chemical tastes that doesn't last long. but this is a fairly good snus portion, definitely not my favorit. would recommend at least to try it out and decide for yourself.

Not one of my favorites. The portion is rough and to me the citrus flavor tastes almost fake. I do love the can though, very unique.
I now use it as part of my emergency snus collection.

1. beautiful scent of big ripe lemons picked directly from the trees in gotland
 there is no ammonia smell from the can at all
2. pouches are a little bit dry and rough - seems like white portions to me 3. rapid and strong nic kick 4.non-violent lemon taste, which is very pleasant I would give 4 of 5. Yummy.

A very decent, citrus hinted snus. While the Ice Fruit is more unique, I'm surprised that the classic isn't as popular as it is. The only dislike I can think of is that the bags can be a little rough, but aside from that, I'd still recommend this easily.

This is decent. Nothing fancy, but not nearly as bland as a Taboca or M by Mocca. Might be a regular purchase for me.

Actually i don´t like portion snus, but jakobsson´s is awesome. a beautiful can with an absolutely nice taste between strong, classic and a little bit of citrus. full points for that portion snus!
