SnusX Bucket, Portion - Make your own snus & save money!

How to make SnusX:
Add water (and flavour if you like) and keep in refrigerator for 3 days.

How much water do I add?
If you want to make the whole SnusX bucket add 170-190 ml (in total with flavour) depending on how dry / moist you want your snus.
During the water adding process the bags should be gently turned around.

For one regular can (24 portion):
8-10 ml (in total with flavour) depending on how dry / moist you want your snus. A regular (empty) snus can is included.

Adding flavour:
If you want to add flavour, you should do it together with the water.
Add around 8-16 ml flavour (for the whole bucket - 240 gram) depending on how strong you want the flavour. The amount of flavour is deducted from the amount of water (170-190ml).

The different aroma flavours can be mixed!

I have tried Bergamott, Rapp mix and they are fine for my taste but Brandy Alexander yuk yuk it stinks do not try that.I would really like something that tastes like General.Any tips?

A great product if you are looking to save money and beat custom charges. As the tobacco is shipped dry weight, you are not paying duty on the water that's not there.

I found the Bergamot aroma made the snus quie "orangey" which I like. Also I like the fact that I can customize the moisture level.

Will be definately purchasing again!!

Thanks SnusX - keep it up!!

I've been using these as my exclusive snus for two months now, and I've grown fond of them. The stink from the dry bucket finally almost vanished (but note that the odor did not transfer as a bad taste for the dry snus).

And I've done enough experimenting with flavors to settle on something that works for me. I fill the empty supplied snus tin about half way with tap water, then dump one packet of Stevia sweetener in it. Stir it up. Add about 24 portions and turn tin over and over to spread the water.

Then I remove the portions, line them up on a paper towel and sprinkle them with either cinnamon sugar or vanilla extract powder. Back into the tin they go, then into the refrigerator for everything to settle in.

The cinnamon sugar (NOT cinnamon) gives a quick burst of flavor, then settles down to allow the tobacco to come through and dominate for an hour or two. The vanilla is more subtle and can still be tasted well into the snus session.

I'll buy this again.

Got my tub today and my oh my that's A LOT of snus in one place. Smells good, I mixed the water and I am looking forward to trying it. The small snus can that comes with it is a nice touch!

So I'm on my 2nd bucket of SnusX. I ordered some flavors with my 2nd Order. And after some tries I found the best method for me how to make it: I always make 40 portions at a time, put them in small bowl, add around 15ml of water with 4-5 drops of flavor (bought a pipette from the pharmacy) and stir them gently with a spoon until the portions are equally moist. Then I put the portions into a small tupper box and put them in the refrigerator.

For my taste, the liquorice flavor was much too powerful. But the bergamotte flavor suits my taste. I add 4 drops per 40 portions, and now the portions have just the right amount of citrus and sweetness.

I must say, that I'm positively suprised about SnusX. After some experimenting I found excactly the right amount of flavor for my personal taste. So I can get portions that suite my taste at a very good price.

Rating 4/5 (will order SnusX again)

I've got a question!! There is no use to order this snus without the flavor, right? because I´ve read now that the unflavored taste is chemical and horrible!! so how many of these flavor bottle do i've to order that it is enough for the box and wich one are the best??
i hope for an early answer because i want to deliver quiet soon!! Thx
jersomp1, 04/12/2010 05:06:42
honestly, not a bad investment.
i have experimented with different flavors, using flavor extracts that i bought at a store... thus far, cream soda is the favorite flavor.

anyone looking for different flavor combinations, just let me know!

first off let me say i hate anything V2 but i couldnt resist it, A the price and B the chance to make my own so i took the plunge and got the citrus kit with the idean that if general can do it so can i
first off, yup the snus in the tub smells horribly chemical but all v2 snus has a chemical undertone
but once i got past that the snus is not that bad even its actually good dry as the poster below says it tastes more than abit like ettan in its dry form
i followed the instructions and made it up using the recommended 8ml of flavour for the whole tub and after three days i have to say its very good although next time im only going to use 4 or 5ml the citrus flavour is strong at 8ml and drowns the tobacco taste abit but i will be back for more

As rcbowden said, the dry portions DO smell strange. But my finished portions don't smell anymore. It takes some tries to find the correct amount of water. The taste of the unflavored portions isn't very strong, rather neutral. But that doesn't mean they taste bad. And the taste doesn't swing in a bad way during use (like I experienced with a lot of other brands).

If you're short on cash (like I was when I ordered this), this can be an alternative to other cheap brands like Kronan or Knox. But of course not comparable to top brands like General Onyx.
psyco_candy, 03/02/2010 23:18:47
It's decent. I just got it yesturday, so I only tried it dry. But it's allright as far as portion goes. Just pure tobacco flavour.
rcbowden, 03/02/2010 03:13:51
Nicotine strength is satisfactory (average or medium), but the stench of the dry portions is awful. Once flavored, these are okay -- but I've yet to find the perfect flavor combination. Portion quality seems good throughout the tub. Nothing is broken apart or frayed. Portion material is standard, not too thin and flimsy. Without added flavor, these remind me of Ettan in taste. But they stink worse than any snus I've ever used. I'm only on day three, with the tub still in the refrigerator, lid off so the smell can escape! I plan a series of flavor experiments before I decide if these six-cents-apiece snus have a place in my regular orders.
vikingenalreadyexists, 02/17/2010 16:02:32
It's werry good snus regarding to Swedish vikings smile;)
ajtown, 02/15/2010 15:10:21
OK
Just bought it. It'll be arriving in 4 days and I'll let you know what it's like!
gravelgravy, 02/10/2010 01:34:29
So anyone buy this yet? I'm interested but considering the amount I'd have to hear whether or not it is decent.
