Go back Our Northerner Citrus & Menthol, (6mg) ReviewLaunched in 2007 by Snus Bruket / TillCe AB, Oomph Citrus & Menthol 6mg Mini portion snus is classified as a Dry White Mini type. We know this classification can be confusing so, just in case you haven’t read the other Oomph flavor reviews, we’ll break the classification down! First, Dry means that the snus has little to no moisture in it. With Oomph Citrus & Menthol, there’s about 1% moisture which makes the snus its self a powder. Second, the White part means, again, no moisture is added to the material at the end of production and Mini means that the portions themselves are about half the size of a regular sized portion. Even though the material is dry, TillCe uses a soft, teabag type material for their portions which, once you wet it a bit, is surprisingly comfortable in the lip for as long as the flavor lasts which is about an hour and a half. Each can of Oomph Citrus & Menthol 6mg has 24 portions that are about .3 grams each and the Nicotine content in them is 6 mg of Purified Nicotine per portion. Oomph Citrus & Menthol’s can is made of white plastic and is flatter than standard snus cans. There is also two hinged lids in the can, one for new portions and a smaller one for used portions which is another unique thing about Oomph Citrus & Menthol. Ok, now that you have the basics, let’s move on to the flavor! Oomph Citrus & Menthol’s flavor is really not that strong. Don’t get us wrong, you can taste the subtle flavors of the citrus, which is the flavors of lemon and orange, and the light menthol but, the flavors are not overpowering like in a regular portion. The menthol actually comes thru as a very light tang in the snus but is felt by its light burn in the lip. The two together gives a light, fresh flavor in the mouth but what we didn’t taste in Oomph Citrus & Menthol was the tobacco flavor. There is also a slight baking soda taste but, that’s because there’s baking soda in it. It’s there to help keep your teeth white while using it and, it really does whiten them a bit! We feel that Oomph Citrus & Menthol 6mg makes a great snus for the user that wants a light flavor without the typical tobacco flavor that’s in all Swedish snus but, this is what we think, we want to hear your thoughts! So, give Oomph Citrus & Menthol 6 mg Mini portion snus a try with your next order and leave us a review letting us know what you think. We’ll be looking forward to reading it!

These are great. The can is awesome, the portions are small. Very discreet, comfortable, and suprisingly strong. The description says the flavor is fresh. Well that's spot on. Very fresh, SLIGHTLY sweet, citrus flavor with a tiny hint of menthol. Virtually no drip.
Extremely pleased with these and the Boost portions. Love the purifieds, wish I would've tried them sooner. Can't wait to try the licorice&lemon and wish I would've ordered more than 1 can each of this and Boost. 5 out of 5 all the way. Top notch product!

Saw many who said it needs to be stronger. When I have an exceptional "need", I just pop a second under my lip.
There's no rule sayinbg you have to use just one at a time!

I have been using this for about a year now. I really appreciate the size of he pouch and the fact that "purified" may be a little better for one than regular snus. I use this product to help curb my appetite which it does very well. It also helps me to be more alert at work. I have noticed that there seems to be a variation in the levels of nicotine from time to time. As far as wishes go, I would like to see the ingredients come as close as possible to organic, which could help justify it's continued use.

I think the 6mg is perfect. I've use the standard portion snus as well and these are a nice change of pace for a 'lite' enjoyment. I ended up switching to these mainly after I stopping using American brands, which I understand have less nicotine in general, so possibly also a factor.
But to review these. They have great flavor, very light and not over bearing or even make your breath smell like anything. Very discrete, no one knows I have one in.

This is the first dry white mini type that I have tried and so far I like it. Flavor is subtle, but almost no traditional tobacco flavor which is a plus for me. The girlfriend says she can't taste it when we kiss which is a plus. Just a slight tingle in the lip but no real burn. I haven't been using this particular type and brand to comment on long term teeth and gum issues. The pouches are subtle and discreet so I am able to use it at work. The only negative really is the small dose of nicotine which is to be expected from this type from what I've read on the Northerner site. The nicotine level is the only reason I don't rate a full 5 stars. If they could make this type with more nicotine it would be perfect.

From all the positive reviews I had read before ordering this I thought I was on to something brilliant, while it's not bad it lacks a punch from every angle 3/5 at best

This one is protecting me from cigarettes, and hopefully also esophageal cancer. I tried patches, but I ended up with a cig in one hand, a coffee in the other, and a patch on each shoulder... I tried that medication, which worked because I felt too nauseous to get out bed. To finally quit, I started off with some full-bore snus XXX-stark various brands until my ears rang louder than usual, and over about 3 months lowered my threshold down to this.
However, the latest batch (exp date 1/1/2012) doesn't seem to pack the punch of previous ones. Hope this is a one-off, I have 20 cans to go before my next order.

Ok, really good snus for beginners. Hardly any salt taste, also very little citrus flavor which is awesome!!! Seriously if you used American snus use this, trust me!!

This is really good stuff.. I love the idea of quick nic hit and the fact that it is extra "clean".. I hope it really is!! They could really improve this by following the same philosophy but with maybe a 8-10 mg version with a little more flavor...
If the above were true it would be my goto snus...

The flavour is very agreeable, i've been using this staple snus for about a fortnight and it is excellent, if you are considering buying this product, please do, it is spectacular

Absolutely LOVE this one. Not a strong tobacco taste, but a subtle citrusy one. By far my favorite.
I'm going to echo what other have said: needs a 8mg version. This is not a deal breaker, though.

This my favorite snus. Crisp, clean and strong. The small package is perfect for carrying and it is a convenient container. Everything else out there is pretty much the same, albeit with very minute differences. But "Wise" is very unique and satisfying.
My only disappointment is that you have not returned to the original "WISE" name and packaging. This was a mature and becoming look that has now changed to an obnoxious and loud packaging with a terrible name. "Northerner" is better than "Oomph", which was absolutely ridiculous. Please revert to WISE and let's get some packaging that is not catering to the youth! Thanks for a good product. No thanks for the trite packaging. One suggestion would be an organic version with absolutely nothing synthetic added.

I have tried all kinds of snus. I like strong flavors of tobacco, chocolate, whisky etc. However, when it comes to snus, I cannot swallow the thick juices without it becoming a problem for my stomach. With "wise" purified portions, I do not have this problem. I enjoy the taste, especially in the summer time with a crisp India Pale Ale or gin and tonic. This is a refreshing portion snus that has a lot of power. When I first started using Wise (once Oomph and now Northerner) It often gave me jitters because of the super fast nicotine absorption. Now, only sometimes.
I think this is plenty strong and with plenty of nicotine. My biggest criticism has to do with the branding! WHY WOULD YOU CHANGE THE ORIGINAL "WISE" NAME? It was the best and the most understated packaging. Now I peel off the label because it is very loud and ugly. It looks like it is catering to the youth. Even the newest Northerner packaging is not very nice. So, why has it changed, and will it ever return to the once beautiful "Wise" name and label? All in all, this is my favorite snus and I do not plan on ever changing brands. The is nothing else like it out there. Thanks for a good product.

I have been using this brand for several years now, but I do have one complaint (other than the rapid name change). They need to make a 8mg portion. I know I'm am not the only person who thinks this. The 6mg is good but a 8mg citrus menthol would be perfect. Please people send them some emails,I have, lets make this a reality.
