Go back Our Thunder Wintergreen Extra Stark, Strong Portion ReviewIntroduced to the snus world in 2009 and made by V2 Tobacco in Silkeborg, Denmark, Thunder Extra Stark Wintergreen is classified as an Extra Strong, regular type portion snus. Extra Strong type means that there is over 14 mg of Nicotine in each portion and regular type means that each one goes thru an added step at the end of the manufacturing process that adds a bit more moisture to them. This extra moisture helps the flavors in the snus to marry together and release it faster when it’s in your lip. The material that V2 uses in Thunder Extra Stark Wintergreen is the same soft material they use in all their Extra Stark portion snus and is comfortable in the lip for as long as the flavor lasts which is for over 2 hours. Each can contains 24, one gram portions with each one having a mind blowing 16 mg of Nicotine! Thunder Extra Stark Wintergreen portion’s can is made of black plastic and V2 added a used portion compartment in the lid of Thunder Wintergreen but, you’re not here for the can; you’re here for the flavor! This tastes alot better than General Wintergreen and has a great Nic Hit. Flavor does not last long. Pouch is perfect discreet size and very soft.
if you have chewed grizzly wintergreen pouches then do not expect the same experience since this is swedish not American stuff. Waiting to compare Frosted flavor but it's on back-order so the Jury is still out on which one is better IMO.

I like this. I like the taste and the initial burn. Good nicotine hit. The only downside is it does not last as long for me as some of the other brands.

guys,honestly,this thing smells exactly like counterpain cream,I cant even put it in my mouth,I cant understand why some people say it tastes like spearmint or pepermint....definately misleading.

I was disappointed by the flavor of this snus. I don't know if I got a bad can but the taste is very "uneven" between portions. Overall in this can the taste of General WG is far superior. It just tastes of wet tobacco with barely any to no WG flavor. I ordered 3 cans so I am hoping the others are better.

Having just come off cigarettes, this Snus made it possible. Once my roll came in I was able to switch and never look back.
After two days of using it, I actually found it almost too strong. I can't use it in the morning or I get foggy, but it's great in the evenings before bed. The wintergreen is somewhat mild and keeps the taste fresh. There's a bit more juice than I'm used to, but that's only after about 45 minutes or so. The kick is terrific. If you're trying to go from cigs to snus, DON'T TRY CAMEL FROST! Make this your first choice!

This would have to be one of my favourite portions. I like the good kick of nicotine, and the flavour lasts for a good while.

1-2 cans for me, max. The smell was unordinary, like Ariel or some-other-kind-of washing pulber. Well, it was a bit awkward at beginning. But still, after 2 cans I felt I need a break from that smell and taste so went to Thunder Frosted..
Can also humidful and pouches quite wet, the ordinary Thunder problem for me.

Mostly everybody has gotten it right. This is a nice tasting snus. However I believe the Frost to be a Superior tasting snus. Even if you prefer a wintergreen flavor above anything else I strongly recommend the frost version instead. The taste is just better. This is not bad just not as good

I am trying to quit smoking and decided to try Swedish snus after viewing the videos from Svandal(Confessions of a former smoker, quite smoking with snus 1-4) on YouTube. I tried the readily available USA ver sion(Camel Frost snus) and although I liked the taste alot it didn't have the nicotine kick I wanted/needed. So I tried a few different varieties from Northerner. WOW, VERY STRONG just as the label says. Way to strong for me and there is almost NO wintergreen flavor

The flavor blend is much smoother than the General white portion wintergreen. The portions are on the juicy side although "drip" was not an issue during use. Exceeded my expectations - *****!!

Thunder Wintergreen- delicious. This one goes great in the morning, good nic hit, smooth minty flavor. A new favorite of mine. Flavor lasts a good, long while, too. Can design is plain, but contents are so good who cares? Can rating 2/5 snus 4.5/5

Good snus overall; however, the flavor didn't seem to last. Does taste a bit like some spearmint snus but definately can taste the wintergreen. Smells more wintergreen like than tastes like wintergreen.

I've switched to the Thunder wintergreen - it's very nearly an exact duplicate (or as close as you can get without buying actual Skoal) of Skoal wintergreen, and I've completely abandoned all the rough attempts by Los to produce a decent wintergreen or other mint variant flavored tobacco. I hope the folks at Thunder come out with a loose version of Thunder very soon.
I'm still pretty dependent on shipments of Copenhagen from Arizona, but Thunder certainly fills in the gaps between packages quite nicely. So far, I haven't found anything in Europe that matches Cope's flavor or nicotine levels and I'm not fond of the portion style dip at all, nor of the excess water content.

Very subtle taste, and quite the nic hit. The only issues are the portion material, and very uneven distribution of the "snus juice". Some portions are soaked with juice, some are bone dry.

Rate this 4.9 out of 5. The only drawback is the heavy pricetag. It is a fantastic snus, good but in no way overpowering flavor reminiscent of traditional american wintergreen. As a lifelong american smokeless tobacco user I generally didn't care for wintergreen. Smooth strong nicotine kick. I can't get enough of this snus. One of my current favorites.

ive used american wintergreen chewing tobacco for years and after using this snus i wont ever go back its got quite a bite and a kick like a mule . For those who need that little extra to get the day started.

This is a good snus. Perfect for after dinner when you need an extra kick. The taste is well crafted and balanced. The "wintergreen" label is a little misleading because it tastes to me like a spearmint with a little bit of wintergreen mixed in. Recommended to mint lovers!
