Harpdog, while you are correct that this is not swedish snus you are incorrect in everything else. I have used both for many years. The "juice" (saliva) can be ingested without difficulty in reasonable quantities with either, and either can make you sick to your stomach if you are not used to it and swallow too much too quickly. American dip is also commonly used in the upper lip as well. The biggest difference is that the Swedish suppliers are regulated and have to publish ingredients as well as use only ingredients approved for food use in addition to the tobacco, while the US product is not so regulated. The tobacco for the american stuff is also cured differently, and the swedish method is undoubtedly superior from a health point of view, and for that reason alone it probably should be favoured. Just not for false reasons.
Skoal bandits are very tasty, quick-release pouches. Personally I dont like pouches, even the strong swedish portions seem very low on taste compared to the loose tobacco that has been my habit for many years. Currently I am trying to avoid lössnus however so I ordered some Thunder, General, Röda Lacket, etc. and a bit of mint bandits just for taste. In that context, they certainly do not disappoint.

Uh, TAKEIT, this is not Snus, this is American Smokeless Tobacco, which is completely inferior to Swedish Snus, to which this site is dedicated. I would suggest you give a Swedish brand of 'smokeless tobacco' a try...This American did.

Hi TAKEIT,
This is product is not really snus and should not be confused with Swedish Snus so thought it worth mentioning to newcomers of this site. Swedish Snus is used in the top lip and does not require spitting, the juice can be ingested without issues. American Dip on the other hand is mostly used in the bottom lip and requires spitting out the juice. Swedish Snus and Dip are 2 different experiences.

First snus I ever tried! Nice, refreshing aroma. Taste lasts about 40 minutes. I would recommend this for beginners.
