Go back Our Camel, White Portion ReviewMade by JTI Sweden AB, Camel White portion is a true Swedish snus that is often confused with the American Camel SNUS by name but once you taste Camel White portion, you’ll realize there’s a big difference! Camel White portion is classified as a white type portion meaning that it doesn’t go thru the additional step in the process that adds moisture to the portion prior to being packaged in the can. This keeps the material dry but the material JTI uses in Camel White is a soft, teabag type material that remains comfortable in the lip for over an hour and a half. Each can of Camel White contains 24 portions that have just under one gram of snus and 8 mg of Nicotine each. The can is made from gray plastic and has a used portion compartment in the top of the can. The lid to the compartment has a hinged lid that’s the norm with most of JTI’s snus brands. But with Camel White, they made the plastic lid metallic and embossed the trademark camel logo. Now, let’s take a look at the flavor! JTI describes Camel White’s flavor as having a clean, mild tobacco flavor with hints of bergamot. What we taste is a well rounded blend of tobaccos and salt that’s typical of Swedish snus and a whisper of bergamot. For those that don’t know what a bergamot tastes like, it has a flavor that’s a cross between a lemon and a grapefruit. All of these flavors combine to create a lightly flavored snus that’s great for those new to Swedish snus as well as the seasoned snuser but, we’ll let you decide! Tastes more like a traditional Swedish snus than its American Frost or Mellow counterparts, that is a GOOD thing. The portion material is a little rough on the mouth, but not terrible. Better value that the American Camel snus, as well as a better nic hit. Not my favorite by any stretch of the imagination, but a good quality product that I would not pitch in the trash like the Camel Mellow. I would buy it again just as a change of pace from the Elixyr Peppermint I usually use.

This is not the Camel Snus that's being pushed in America, and it's a lot better. That said, it's not all that different from Lucky Strike and Pall Mall snus. Good workday snus. Try it if you miss Pall Mall.

Smells, and tastes surprisingly like General white portions, not my favorite flavor but it'll do. I'll give it 3 stars.
