Go back Our Northerner Citrus & Menthol (3mg) ReviewIntroduced by Snus Bruket / TillCe AB in 2007 by, Oomph Citrus & Menthol 3 mg Mini portion snus is classified as a Dry White Mini type. The Dry classification means that the snus has little to no moisture in it. With Oomph Citrus & Menthol, there’s about 1% moisture which makes the snus its self a powder. Second, the White part means, again, no moisture is added to the material at the end of production and Mini means that the portions themselves are about half the size of a regular sized portion. Even though the material is dry, TillCe uses a soft, teabag type material for their portions which, once you wet it a bit, is surprisingly comfortable in the lip for as long as the flavor lasts which is about an hour and a half. Each can of Oomph Citrus & Menthol 3 mg has 24 portions that are about .3 grams each and the Nicotine content in them is 3 mg of Nicotine per portion. Oomph Citrus & Menthol’s can is made of white plastic and is flatter than standard snus cans. There are also two hinged lids in the can, one for new portions and a smaller one for used portions which is another unique thing about Oomph Citrus & Menthol. Ok, now that you have the basics, let’s move on to the flavor! Oomph Citrus & Menthol’s flavor is really not that strong. Don’t get us wrong, you can taste the subtle flavors of the citrus, which is the flavors of lemon and orange, and the light menthol but, the flavors are not overpowering like in a regular portion. The menthol actually comes thru as a very light tang in the snus but is felt by its light burn in the lip. The two together gives a light, fresh flavor in the mouth but what we didn’t taste in Oomph Citrus & Menthol was the tobacco flavor. We feel that Oomph Citrus & Menthol 3 mg makes a great snus for the user that wants a light flavor without the typical tobacco flavor that’s in all Swedish snus. So, why not give Oomph Citrus & Menthol 3 mg Mini portion snus a try with your next order and leave us a review letting us know what you think. We’ll be looking forward to reading it!

These are great!! I appreciate seeing the ingredients on the can. I thought these were stronger at first because at first they prompted a rather moving intestinal experience when I used them! Almost immediate! But I realized it's probably the combo of sweetners -- 3 artificial ones. My suggestion would be to just use one: the Xylitol, as that's known to be good for teeth. Next time I'll get the 6mg. Thanks Northerner!!

Really enjoy this snus as im a begginer the other more strong stuff seems over kill this is plenty strong far supperior to camel frost snus

Second review on this product. Still love this snus; for those who want a clean hit without any excess tobacco taste, this is the one. (Some like the tobacco taste; not me.) Name has changed to Northerner; formerly Oomph; formerly Wise, but it's the same good stuff. 3 mg is plenty for me; any more would make me dizzy (yes, I am a small female). Would still love to see this sold in a bulk version, to save on plastic waste.
Also: Northerner has had to make huge efforts to make this and other snus available in the States, what with the recent changes in US laws. So, many thanks to them for that. But there are apparently still some hitches in the supply chain. Sometimes it's unavailable for long periods. So, if you like this product, and can afford to do so, buy a lot and keep a supply on hand. It is dry and can be kept for long periods. From now on, I'll re-order before I get down below 10 cans...

First off Northerner/Oomph/wise has been my brand for a couple of years now. But the 3mg portion is so weak its not worth bothering with. I use the 6mg citrus menthol religiously, but even that could be a bit stronger. Its great snus, tastes almost like nothing, doesn't run, and get the job done.

I love this snus. I was a pack-a-day, light cigarette smoker for 20 years and had tried to quit countless times. About five years ago I learned about snus and tried many different kinds until I found this one. I have never looked back.
It gives that initial nicotine kick just like a cigarette and it lasts for about half an hour. It has a pleasant citrus taste and never makes me feel nauseous. I would like to see bulk packaging of this product, to reduce the price and the plastic waste.

This is not bad for a 3mg snus. It is very light but still packs a kick! The baking soda taste is not my favorite but it only last a few minutes and is replaced by a light citrus taste. If you are trying to reduce your nicotine but don't want to get cravings, this is a good product.

I've used a lot of snus over the years. This is by far the best. The flavor/taste is great (you can actually taste the lemon). If you are a menthol cigarette smoker, give this a try. The nic hit is just like that first morning cigarette. I don't know of any other snus product that equals that!

I love the clean taste on this one. It's the only one that I actually enjoy. I agree with the above writers; I prefer the previous name and packaging as "Wise". I've actually saved an old "Wise" package and am transferring my new "Oomph" snus to that package. BTW, any chance of offering this in a "bulk" version to reduce plastic usage? Since I'm transferring them into a new case anyway...

Although I am not a Female Light Smoker
 I still find the taste of this snus delicious and the strenght sufficient for various occasions during the day. It provides a nice break from other, more tobacco-like snus. Tastes like a good candy, gives enough nicotine to compete with a cigarette and to fight the nic craving of an ex-smoker. Ideal for hot summer days where temperature might be an issue for other types of snus. Definitely worth buying to liven up your snusing

I have tried and have a freezer full of snus, from General Ekstra Sterk and Thunder to minis.
This snus provides one of the quickest and best feeling nic hits hands down 
The NAME CHANGE IS HORRIBLE, bring back the "Wise"

Hands down, this is my favorite snus. It's delicious and offers just the right "kick". As a female former smoker, I've found a discreet product I can enjoy, and the benefits (purified and less staining) are just what I'm looking for in snus.
Frankly, I really don't get the product name change and re-branding effort, though. Perhaps as an American female, I was attracted to the original marketing: "Wise". Maybe it didn't work, and maybe Northerner is going for a different demographic (young men = "Oomph"?), but I just don't think it's a good call. This is what I think: if you want to hit a more diverse, gender-neutral demographic (and, especially, more health-concerned consumers), you might want to reconsider. I know to some people it seems ironic to be "health concerned" and concurrently talk about and use snus, but to those who have made the effort to quit smoking and find alternatives, being concerned about health is central to our decisions.
