Cave paintings made by prehistoric man show wild horses. The horse is a mythical animal that lived alongside the gods, sometimes winged, sometimes a centaur. Horses were able to travel to the other world to obtain knowledge concealed from man. To those who believed, the horse imparted noble, wise advice. Because of its speed and ability to jump, the horse was often associated with the sun, joy and light.
