Rudder Pendant
Pendant shaped like a rudder (boat stearing instrument) in typical natural material from the Polar-Circle-Country of Scandinavia - reindeer horn and curly-grained birch (very rare kind of wood). Its material is developed by the mountain birch when it is attacked by a kind of tree parasite. The tree try to protect itself by developing a kind of hard wooden material. The result can be seen like a twisted part of the tree. The necklace is made of twisted thin reindeer leather with a reindeer horn button. Carved pattern.

They have always believed this was a good sign from the gods, trying to communicate with humans through nature. This materials suit very good for making handy-craft jewelry because it´s both strong,
elegant and light. The Sami handicraft is characterized by soft rounded shapes. The Sami hut, the houshold utensils, knives, all with soft-rounded shapes. This has also influenced the modern design of Sami jewelry.
Our jewelry are manufactured in the Polar circle country in the north where three countries meet, Norway - Sweden - Finland.
