No. 2 on picture. Viking rush cup.
The original glasses were probably of Frankish origin and brought home by Vikings returning from their travels. The Frankish Empire (approx. AD 800-843): An empire ruled by Carl the Great which included France, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, north Italy, etc. The shape of the glasses is usually explained by "The Germanic Drinking Habits". You had to drink "bottoms up" before putting the glass back on the table. The drinking habits of the Scandinavians were infamous long before the Viking Age. This glass is produced by hand with the same techniques they used for more than 1000 years ago, which means that the size and thickness of the glasses may vary slightly. The color of the glass may also vary as well as the number of small bubbles inside the glass. The glassworks, which make the History Glasses, is one of the best of its kind in the world. It has customers with high reputation such as a number of different Museums.
