Manufactured mainly in Bohemia (todays Czeck Republic) in the 14th century. This is a Replica of a oil lamp that was found in a garbage well in Prag, Czeck Republic. The medieval glasslamps was originally used as oil lamps, which was filled with oil, hanging from the ceiling. Soft green colored glass.
Medieval Period in Central Europe was approximately between AD 500-1500 and in Scandinavia AD 1050-1500. This lamp is produced by hand with the same techniques they used for almost 700 years ago, which means that the size and thickness of the lamps may vary slightly. The color of the glass may also vary as well as the number of small bubbles inside the glass. The glassworks, which make the History Glasses, is one of the best of its kind in the world. It has customers with high reputation such as a number of different Museums.
