The time of the French Revolution. The French Revolution started 1789 which in 1794 erupted into the "terror period" where the king of France and the nobility were executed. In 1799 a new era started in France which lead to the rise of the Napoleon Empire, which conquered much of the Continental Europe.
It's produced by hand with the same techniques they used for 300 years ago, which means that the size and thickness of the glasses may vary slightly. The color of the glass may also vary as well as the number of small bubbles inside the glass. The glassworks, which make the History Glasses, is one of the best of its kind in the world. It has customers with high reputation such as a number of different Museums.
