Norman Helmet
England, Normandie, 10th to the 12th century
Helmet from the Norman Age. The Normans were Viking offsprings which in 911 settle down in Normandie (France) and established their own kingdom. They expanded their area to Sicily in Italy and conquered England in 1066 with the Battle of Hastings (the Norman Wilhelm the Conqueror won against the Viking king Harald Godwinsson). Found at excavations England and Normandie in France. Size: full scale helmet size.
This helmet is produced by hand with the same techniques they used for 1000 years ago. The smith, which make the Historical wrough iron goods, is one of the best of its kind in the world. It has customers with high reputation such as a number of different Museums.
