Go back Our Göteborgs Prima Fint, Loose ReviewLaunched in 1919 and made in Göteborg, Sweden by Swedish Match, Göteborgs Prima Fint is classified as a fine grind snus which means that the tobacco is ground in to pieces that are similar to a fine powder and, when moisture is added, the feel is that of wet flour. This can make it difficult for the beginner in hand baking to mold a prilla and keep its shape in the lip but with experience, or a tool, the prilla is pretty comfortable in the lip and holds its shape for over 2 hours with the flavor lasting just about as long. Each can of Göteborgs Prima Fint loose has 45 grams of snus and a Nicotine content of 8 mg per gram. The amount will vary though depending on the size of the prilla. The can is made of the same traditional paperboard bottom, that’s common with Swedish Match’s loose snus brands, with a thin layer of food grade paraffin wax to keep the snus fresh. The lid is made from gold colored plastic, with the Swedish Snus logo embossed on the top, and makes a pretty good seal with the bottom but, enough about the can, let’s talk about the flavor! Swedish Match describes Göteborgs Prima Fint as a snus with a pure and slightly sweet tobacco flavor. What we taste is the mild flavors of the hand selected tobaccos from around the world that gives Göteborgs Prima Fint a light, peaty and earthy taste and also gives it a slight sweetness. There is a hint of the needed salt as well but what makes Göteborgs Prima Fint unique to loose snus is the fact that the flavors are really light! Most loose snus tends to have stronger flavors, kind of like a regular portion snus minus the saltiness. In Göteborgs Prima Fint, the flavors are not overpowering and we think that’s what will make it a great snus for beginners who want to experience loose without the strong flavor but, this is what we think. Very, very mild taste- but a pleasantly sweet one. Perfect for newbies to loose.

Very similar to Ettan, but a little milder. This along with Roda Lacket tend to be the least irrative to the gums. Great snus. Also recommend Roda Lacket. Fine grind as well and fantastic flavor.

Very similar to Ettan Los, but flavor doesn't seem to last as long. Definitely a good snus, but I would go with Ettan first. I think I may still order it again, because while it does have a very similar taste to Ettan, it's still it's own flavor and something different now and again.

This snus is 100% inoffensive in every way. With sandard nicotine delivery and an unadulterated tobacco flavour, this snus was made to be liked by everyone. I haven't tried the goteborg rape' yet though I do have a can on the way. With that being said, prima fint is the best fine ground I've had yet.

Upon further review (and trying Ettan Los), the two tastes are very similar though, Prima is less salty. I have a handbaked prilla in now that has held up for over two hours now, and has no inclination of letting go! Number one Los IMO

I like the fine cut, it does not irritate my gums. Excellent flavor, very satisfying. Try a tin on your next order. It's easy to see why this is such a popular snus. This is going to be my new favorite loose. Not too strong but definitely plenty of flavor.

Well, my shipment has arrived yet again with no problems
I have already had Ettan, which I ordered two cans of, so I already know of the awesomeness there! I figured I'd save the GR Mini for a lil bit later and dive my rarely used Prismaster into Prima Fint. Upon opening the can, I took a whiff and got a big smell of Ettan, and upon popping in a prilla, the taste was quite faint at first, but soon blossomed into a taste similar to Ettan, the bittersweet, chocolate taste! However, it is different as there is a little more saltiness to it, but I can see this los working it's way into my orders!
