Reduplicate of jewelry from the early Viking Age found at excavations in Birka (Uppland, Southeast Sweden). Birka, outside Stockholm in Sweden, was a big Viking town and one of the largest Viking trade centers. The item weighs about 5 g (0.177 oz.). The jewelry is enclosed inside a beautiful decorated wooden box. The original jewelry was made out of gold. Viking Jewelry is the generic term for a collection of jewel copies in precious metal produced in collaboration with The National Museum of Archeology in Stockholm. The jewels are made through casts of the originals. The Viking Age (AD 800-1050): Scandinavian history (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland) where Old Norse tradesmen and sea warriors, Vikings, sailed Westwards (France, England, Ireland, Scotland, North America etc) and Eastwards (Russia, Black Sea, Turkey, etc.).
