"Simma", Classic Lappish Knife

Scandinavian (Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish) knives. The Sami´s - people of Lapland in north Scandinavia - classic knife has got a new look with better design, material and blade. The handle is made out of curly-grained birch (which is very rare) with reindeer horn inlays. Its material is developed by the mountain birch when it is attacked by a kind of tree parasite. The tree try to protect itself by developing a kind of hard wooden material.

The result can be seen like a twisted part of the tree. The Sami - people of Lapland have always believed this was a good sign from the gods, trying to communicate with humans through nature.
The sheath is made of decorated reindeer horn and leather with nice design. It has a rounded shape to make it easier to sit down. A product of highest quality with life-time-value. Exclusively hand-made.The blade of the knife is 3,55 in. (9 cm).
Our knives - with its blades in combination with reindeer horn and curly-grained birch are manufactured in the Polar circle country in the north where three countries meet, Norway - Sweden - Finland.
