Go back Our Northerner Wine & Dine, (6mg) ReviewIntroduced in 2009 by Snus Bruket / TillCe AB, Wine & Dine Gourmet 6mg Mini portion snus is classified as a Dry White Mini type. We know this classification can be confusing so, let’s break it down a bit! First, Dry means that the snus has little to no moisture in it. With Wine & Dine Gourmet, there’s about 1% moisture which makes the snus its self a powder. Second, the White part means, again, no moisture is added to the material at the end of production and Mini means that the portions themselves are about half the size of a regular sized portion. Even though the material is dry, TillCe uses a soft, teabag type material that they use for their portions which, once you wet it a bit, is surprisingly comfortable in the lip for as long as the flavor lasts which is about an hour and a half. Each can of Wine & Dine Gourmet 6mg has 24 portions that are about .3 grams each and the Nicotine content in them is 6 mg of Purified Nicotine per portion. Wine & Dine’s can is made of white plastic and is flatter than standard snus cans. There are also two hinged lids in the can, one for new portions and a smaller one for used portions which is another unique thing about Wine & Dine Gourmet. Ok, now that you have the basics, let’s move on to the flavor! The flavor of Wine & Dine Gourmet is the other unique thing. You see, Wine & Dine was created as a snus specifically designed for foodies. You may think that a snus designed with food in mind, would have a particularly strong flavor of fruit or a fine liquor but this is not the case here. Wine & Dine’s flavor is, well, there really is none! The whole premise of Wine & Dine is to be used between courses. In Sweden, dinner is usually a time to talk and relax with family or friends and can last an hour or two with a little pause between courses. Since having a flavored snus during these pauses can play havoc on your taste buds and potentially ruin a great meal, Wine & Dine was designed for use during these times. With only a slightest hint of tobacco flavor and you really have to search for it, it’s perfect for this! We do feel the Nicotine in Wine & Dine and overall, think Wine & Dine is a great snus for that special dinner out or, for snusers that want the Nicotine kick minus the typical snus flavors. I always use the citrus menthol, but of course they are out. So I got a roll of this. Its not bad by any means, doesn't taste like much of anything, but I guess thats the point. But in the end I'll stick with the citrus menthol, and keep this as a back up since northerner seems to have problems keeping their own brand in stock. but at the time this was written, they are out of this kind also. WTF.

I have been snussing for a year now. I used to smoke but do not smoke anymore. I have tried all different kinds of snus, but this snus is the only one that I order now.

This is a cracking snus for daily use. Perfect to get you through the day without manky staining or a huge bag sticking out of your gob. Might not keep you going if you out for a few drinks but for me, that's when you move on to Offroad.

I love this stuff, can get nicotine....kick while.....sat inside my favourite cafe,drinking my coffee and chilling.....yes there is a sweetness....but with coffee thats not a problem.
I always tend now to carry a can along with my regular snus

hossmemtsas, this snus is designed to have no flavour. Why did you buy it if you want to complain that it has no flavour. It is clearly advertised as having 'no' flavour.

Because this is a dry portion, the initial kick brought tears to my eyes (I didn't wet it enough) The flavor is greatly subdued but present and suits its purpose well.

This snus is basically Oomph citrus/menthol without the citrus and menthol. It's still kind of sweet (from the added xylitol and malitol I assume) and it still has a faint tobacco flavor, but that fades a few seconds after it is placed in the upper lip. Like Oomph, the portions are dry so it is important to wet them with your tongue to get the full effect. The container is as small and discreet as the portions themselves. This is a great snus to have with your morning coffee or tea, if you want a fast nicotine kick without anything interfering with the taste of your beverage.

I totally agree, plus it's dry so an excellent choice to carry in your jeans pocket, when you go out on a hot day, without fear of ruining it as regular snus. And it's mini, so it doesn't show under your lip or when you smile, but the can holds almost as long as a regular porion can.

Purified snus is the way to go; I'm a fan. Although I enjoy flavored snus, this doesn't make my mouth feel sensitive or uncomfortable. A keeper.

Despite it having said this is no flavor - it's not entirely without taste. There's a smidgen of sweetness I detect as well as a little tobacco flavor. Not overpowering by any means and doesn't mess with the palette if you're going to be eating (or drinking).
