Introduced in 2009 and made by V2 Tobacco in Silkeborg, Denmark, Thunder Extra Stark Frosted Mini is classified as an Extra Strong Mini type and a regular type portion snus. Extra Strong Mini type are Mini portions that have a Nicotine content over the normal 4 to 6 mg per portion and regular type means that each one goes thru the same added step at the end of the manufacturing process that adds a bit more moisture to them as their full sized versions. This extra moisture helps the flavors in the snus to marry together and release it faster when it’s in your lip. I took delivery of my first three tins of Thunder Mini + snus today and i'm impressed. Until now i had only tried a couple of portions a friend of mine gave me. I don't even know what brand or strength they were! I'm a fairly heavy smoker and have been looking for 'the kick', but smoke free... That's why i chose the extra stark minis... I smoke menthol filtered loose rolling tobacco (hense the 'frosted') and didn't want to get used to a very large stong portion before i knew what i was getting into.
Without much to compare yet, it is almost staving off the dedire to smoke! Force of habit and all that...! But i like it. We'll see if the first hit of the day tomorrow morning does the business... Why is this banned in the EU? Sweedish and American studies show it is less harmfull than other types... Harm reduction with all the flavour... And nicotine! Is there a song to sing about snus apart from ... '

I'm not really a mint guy, but this product is great. The mint flavor is a little overwhelming for the first few minutes, but quickly calms down and coasts at a very tolerable level for as long as you have the product in.

Well they say stark and they mean it. The flavor is very strong and last's around 45 mins. A little to "little" for my liking. I do always buy at least one can of mini though for privacy issues. The can i just got is a little to moist. Very Salty taste at first but that goes away about 5 mins. in. Unless you touch it with you tongue, then you feel the effects of the salt they add. Not my favorite but, I will get this in occasion.
