Go back Our Claq Qui, Strong Portion ReviewIntroduced in 2008 and made by Swedish Match, Claq Qui by Röda Lacket is classified as a regular type portion which means that each one goes thru an additional step at the end of the manufacturing process that adds a bit more moisture to the portion. This additional moisture helps the flavors in the snus meld together and brings the flavor out faster when it’s in your lip. The material that Swedish Match uses in Claq Qui is the same soft material they use in all their portions and is comfortable in the lip for as long as the flavor lasts which is about 2 hours. Each can of Claq Qui contains 24, one gram portions with each portion having 13 mg of Nicotine. The can is made of white plastic with a uniquely designed label that is white with what appears to be red paint splatters on it. What the splatters are meant to be is blood splatters because the strength of Claq Qui hits you like a slap in the mouth! Ok, enough about the can, on to the flavor! Claq Qui’s flavor is the same basic flavor of Röda Lacket, kicked up a couple of notches! The flavor of the handpicked tobaccos from around the world give Claq Qui’s base flavor an earthy taste The light, red berry flavor, that Röda Lacket has is enhanced with the addition of a smoky flavor and the peppery taste from the higher Nicotine content that Claq Qui has. The overall flavor of Claq Qui really does hit you in the face in the fact that all of these flavors combined, are much more pronounced than they are in Röda Lacket and the added Nicotine content does make for a really strong snus in both taste and kick! My absolute favourite snus :'( can't believe it's being discontinued. I was into Skruf til I found Claq Qui in Oslo airport after visiting my Norwegian mates, so this snus is both great for taste, nic hit etc, but also has special memories for me! Just ordered potentially my last ever Claq Qui today, *sigh*. Come on Swedish Match, get it sorted - bring this excellent snus back!

Cannot beleive they are stopping this brand. I there any reason why? I'm tempted to stock up on it but then im put off because I dont want to get too used to it. Hope they change their minds and discontinue another instead!

It wasn't quite as i expected , because i like the flavoured snuses more . Didn't get the dried fruit taste really much . A decent snus with a bit low nic kick .

This is by far my favorite everyday snus. I'll sometimes use Odens Extra Sterk for an extra nicotine kick, but having tried almost all of the brands available, Claq Qui is the brand I keep coming back to. Unfortunately, Northerner.com has seen fit to remove Claq Qui from their U.S. warehouse as of late. So now I'll just have to wait for it to come all the way from Sweden again.

I can't believe Swedish Match is discontinuing Claq Qui! This is, by far, the best "strong" portion snus that money can buy. I've been using Swedish snus for about a year now, and from the beginning Röda Lacket was one of my favorites. But when Claq Qui came out I finally decided to stop smoking completely in favor of snus. It's got a nice, long lasting nicotine hit, and the flavor lasts forever. I'm stocking up before this stuff is all gone.

My favorite is going away. Any suggestions as to a suitable replacement brand? Will probably just go with Ettan. A lower nic dose is probably good for me anyway.

I have been a fan of Claq Qui since it was released a few years ago. In my opinion it is by far the best snus I have tried. Excellent tobacco flavor with subtle hints of fruit and an excellent nicotine kick.

Wow, great snus! As a first time snus users I ordered 4 different tins to find a flavor I like. Claq Qui is by far my favorite thus far (the others were Generals, Onyx and Thunder Freeze Mini). I would say the tobacco flavor in this one is mild/medium strong, it is perfectly salted with a little bit of amonia/licorice flavor and a hint of fruit which is really nice.
As for the nicotine kick I have no idea as I am just getting off the cigs, but I haven't smoked for the past 8 hours having enjoyed two portions of Claq Qui, I guess that counts for something. Oh and by the way, its great with coffee!! I'm stocking up on Claq Qui with my next order .. also I have to try the Odens Extra Stark Licorice, it just sounds delicious!

I seem to be the only person who didn't like this product. In fact, I hated it. I thought the "juniper berry" flavor would be interesting, but I found this to taste more like "juniper berry stems."
Bad. I won't buy it again.

dmck, New to snus this year ,and trying many different here locally in the u.s. and also ones at Northerner.Without a doubt.as many reviews have said swedish snus cannot be beat.This claq qui is currently my favorite .Nice nic hit and long lasting pleasant flavor .

When I need to be discreet, spit free and get a nice nicotine buzz this is the one to reach for. Flavour is outstanding and much better than the lemony taste so prevalent in Swedish Snus.

Brilliant snus, good hit of nicotine, great after lunch or dinner. So little run you would think its white portion. Definitely going into the regular rotation

another one of my favorites. i find roda lacket's fruity flavor to be too overpowering -- but they toned it down nicely for the claq qui. this is a well balanced snus with a great punch.

This stuff is pretty awesome. It can satisfy the most insatiable of tastes. Reminds me of late spring and fresh peaches. Goes to the top of my reorder list.

Going from smoking to a trial pack of General to this was quite a surprise. Claq Qui is an excellent snus. I love the flavor! I have not tried many, but I think this one will be in a regular rotation. It is strong enough to take care of the nicotine cravings and has such a nice taste. Since using snus, I have had a pack of cigarettes just sitting around. I smoked one yesterday after going 7 days and was disappointed. I missed the great flavor of a snus portion instead! Now, maybe my 5K times will improve.

Best tasting, longest lasting, portion snus available! Portions are smooth as silk, just the right amount of moisture, great tobacco flavor! RL could discontinue every other product they make as this Claq is by far the standard of a real snus lover! For a strong snus, these portions are mild and flavorable with the perfect nic kick; virtually no run portions, just great flavor. Just received my order and my anticipation was well worth the wait. Great product, great value, great taste! What more could you ask for?

Former consumer of American "natural flavor" tobacco. Tried the samplers, nothing jumped out at me. So i began experimenting on my own with my orders. I ordered onyx and this one at the same time. Nic kick similar, but the experience from the smell when you open the can, until you take it out is great. Starts strong, stays with a moderate flavor for a long time. I am found i am using 1 can every two days as opposed to 1-2 cans per day of American snuff. So far, Onyx is my number two but I have alot more to try!

I've ordered this a couple of times and both times I somewhat enjoyed the snus but found it to be almost to much for me. If your a devoted niccotine junkie you will certainly be into this, plus it has the same dried apricot flavor as Roda Lacket. I enjoy Roda but I do not like white portions very much at all, so I don't use it. The can is awesome and I like that it is an original portion as compared to the Roda Whites. 4 out of 5 in my book, and certainly worth checking out. Just a heads up, if your new to snus, prepare to have your world rocked and if your a veteran of more traditional flavors, don't expect to be converted.

This stuff is great. The drip is one of the most delicious flavors I've ever run across. Definitely going to keep this stuff around.

Hey im new to snus, and i ordered claq qui to the festival.. i have tried some snus from denmark thoe it was "lös snus, not that strong as claq qui. think its a nice snus maybe a bt to strong for a youngster ? what do you mean ?

I am in love with this strong portion. I was a hardcore smoker for far too long, now I am a Snus fanatic and this is my favorite so far. I am still working through all of the strong portions, but I like Claq Qui more than Scruff Stark, which is also an excellent snus. Flavor hints of earthy, dried fruit and fine tobbacco. It is a fairly moist portion, but has very little run off. Claq stays wet longer than Scruff Stark, which tends to dry out my lip and needs shifting every so often. If for some reason you have not tried this portion and are looking for a lovely tin and a nice dose of vitamin N, try Claq out. For those who have only done white portion before, to include Camel Frost ect, expect a salt taste, well some whites are pretty salty also. However, in my experience Claq is less salty than several regular portions, to include the Scruff Stark.
