Thunder Cool M

“Thunder Cool M would be great with a cold mojito!”

Thunder Cool M Chewing bags are the same brand as the Mel Oh, but this snus is mint-flavored.

It has a really strong scent of menthol, very fresh but I have to be honest, I do miss the mix of flavored mint with tobacco-scent. As soon as I pop a pouch under my lip it gets really refreshing, almost like a small ice-bag in my mouth. It stings right away, and the feeling gets to my head which I love about snus in general. As you may already know, I’m not the biggest fan of mint-flavored snus, but this hits me good.

I think the Thunder Cool M would be great with a cold mojito! It takes a good ten minutes before the nicotine really starts to kick in because the Thunder Cool M is almost numbing the lip (in a good way). After about 15 minutes I started to feel a bit of sweetness to the taste which was suprising, but I’m not really convinced that it’s a good mix. Although those are chewing bags they are not that dry, and I did not chew on them because they felt like regular snus. I had a pouch in for about 30 minutes before I felt it was enough, because the mint-taste started to fill my mouth way too much. If you like the flavor this is of course a good thing.

To sum up, I liked it at first but the taste just takes over the nice refreshing taste which is pretty sad.

Thunder Liq+

“great from the moment I opened the can”

So today I’m gonna to be reviewing the Thunder Liq+ chewing bags for you all.

First of all I want to say don’t be scared to try Nordic chew/ chewing bags because they are pretty much identical to portion snus! So go on and try them.

Right so the Liq+ chew was great from the moment I opened the can, when I opened up the can I was greeted with the nicest aroma of licorice you can imagine with slight tobacco notes coming through after a few moments.

The taste was super you get a very nice and strong licorice taste from the start (but not to overpowering) after about 15 minutes I could start to taste the tobacco more then the licorice but it was still great.

I have always found that with Nordic chew the flavors seem to last a bit longer, I mean this particular one was still good about an hour and 15 minutes later and the dripping takes a lot longer to start I didn’t notice a single drip until about 45 minutes had gone by.

I really enjoyed the Thunder Liq+ and will definitely be getting it again.

Jakobsson’s Ultra Strong Chew Bags Original

“this one was a badass”

Hi guys!

It’s time to review another can of Jakobsson’s – the cans with many faces but each one is representative of the brand – brilliant. This one is called Jakobsson’s Ultra Strong Chew Bags Original, so to be honest, I was really looking forward to this one. Cause let’s face it, not every snus called and are supposed to be strong is not actually really that strong. So this one is Ultra Strong – like the strongest snus I’ve ever tasted. And it’s also a chewing bag.

So, let the dice roll.
Once I opened the can, I was almost stunned of the smell of tobacco. It was strong. Really strong. And the pouches are thick packed, so the adjustments are minimal for fitting under the lip.  And they are really moist, so the excitement for trying it out is halfway up to the atmosphere (haha!)

I putted a pouch under the lip, and it just rested under there. The fact that it just lays there, I forgot actually that it was there. So after about 45 minutes it started to run, and the flavour is pleasant and nice, not actually that strong (for now). But after another 15 minutes the ultra strong aspect kicked in. And take this sentence for real: this is one of the strongest snus I have ever tasted, in my whole life. To be honest with you, I had it in for another 45 minutes, and it was running a lot, so I had to put it out. I knew that this one was a pouch you have phase in, step by step.

So after having snusing up half the can, I know felt ready to try on to chew it. A began to chew it lightly, and after just a few minutes it began to run. And it runned about an hour and a half, then it slowed town it’s tempo.

I’m not recommending this snus for anyone that doesn’t have the experience of strong snus – cause seriously, this one was a badass.

I’m giving it a

Best regards
Robin

Offroad Original CB

“Subtle, yet firmly present and comfortable”

The CB (chew bag) concept seems to be really hitting it on in smokeless tobacco industry. What does that mean for us, regular snus users? Frankly, I’m great with it (I use it mostly as snus) since the majority of CB products seem to be either strong or extra strong. If you are a snus starter, these might not be just right for you to start off with, just due to nicotine amount. There is not much difference between CB and regular snus except the cut. But let’s get to the real topic today, which is Offroad’s Original CB.

First thing that can catch your glimpse is the flavor. If you inspect the product description, you will notice the traditional tobacco flavor with hints of lemon and bergamont. This is a pretty much a failsafe combo, and you can’t go wrong with it. Bergamont and lemon go along perfectly, and imbue it into quality tobacco aroma, you have a damn good product on the spot!

The tobacco in portions feels quite dry, which automatically reminded me of dry snus, that was a big plus from my side (I’m a sucker for dry snus in any form or flavor). That being said, I know I have already tried something similar before, and I believe it was also Offroad’s Gold White Dry. The similarity is remarkable, wether we are talking about taste or aroma. Another big plus if you want to switch a snuser to CB way of life.

Upon opening the can, you won’t get blasted away by any hard scents, but rather a comfortable smell of lemony tobacco with a drop of bergamont (and pepper if I am correct, but don’t hold me on spot for that). If I had to describe it in my own words, I’d say it’s a „gentleman perfume in a can“. Nothing too strong, nothing mild, just a right amount. Subtle, yet firmly present and comfortable. The CB taste comes in slowly, it takes its time, and evolves from a slight peppery lemon taste to a bergamont aroma in your nasal cavity, which is really a wonder for your smell receptors.

Offroad Original CB has a huge plus over all white dry snus I have tried, and that is the life-span of a bag. This thing easily kicks for 2 hours, up to 2.5 hours, without losing the taste, and that is another huge plus! Now, since there is no product which is actually flawless, the only flaw in this one I have noticed is the nicotine strength. Nicotine intensitiy is more of a regular, even though they seem even on the light side, but not as light as other snus with same nicotine amount.

All in all, I can not say you will go wrong with this product, it’s definitely a thing to try out, especially if you need a product which will get you used to CB. Offroad Original CB is on spot, and stands firmly with

Ink X-treme Tropic – Nordic Chew

“it’s really hard not to call it snus when you see it”

It’s always fun to experiment with tropical fruits and aromas, especially during the summer, and INK’s X-Treme Tropic original is on the menu today!

The all dark packing looks more menacing than the product inside, which can be noticed immediately after opening the can and smelling the light melon aroma. There is no punch in any specific smell, no strong overtaking from the tobacco, nor anything else to be honest, you just have that light, breezy melon sniff with some tropical and mango background. But is that it? Definitely not! Here is the fun part, it’s chewing tobacco! Well… Modern version of chewing tobacco; we don’t want to be walking around with spittoons, now do we? It’s long cut tobacco packed in pouches, and it’s really hard not to call it snus when you see it.
I received the can with a lot of questions in my head, and I was quite reserved to it. Will it be good? How can this work? Won’t I chew through the portion?
First one was really tricky. Since I’m used to regular snus, I forgot to chew it. Second one, I had to remind myself to do it (thank got we have reminders on our phones)… Now I understand the light aroma and light smell while opening the can. You actually need to work your way to the sweet nectar inside! Boy oh boy… A few light chews, and the aroma, the juice, and the nicotine runs out. Watch out though, you will feel that nicotine kicking in really good after chewing – that’s where you really notice it’s a proper xtreme product, not some regular or strong.
The only down side is the aroma duration, which goes up to 40-50 minutes. There are worse aroma duration products out there, but you would really want this one to last at least an hour and a half after you start to play with it.
This is my first chewing bags product, and I will not let it be my last. I’m glad my doubts were quickly resolved positively when it comes to taste and nicotine; but please, give us some more enduring aroma. It’s a shame to use it for an hour, when you could easily play with it for at least 1.5 – 2 hours without even noticing.

The overall grade could be higher if we had longer taste, so let’s give it a and let’s hope the grade will make them think about it.

DOS Citrus – Nordic Chew

“the most pleasant surprise you could expect”

Nordic Chew. That’s a new term to all of us. Had I not been otherwise informed, I’d have assumed it was some new muesli treat from Scandinavia.

However, politicians being the creatures they are, snus has been restricted in some countries in the EU. So now in its place is a new product with the catchy name of Nordic Chew. The concept is simple enough: where traditional snus is placed in the upper lip and enjoyed, Nordic Chew is to be chewed a little before being placed in the lip. Chewing isn’t mandatory but in order to satisfy the political hoops, it’s in the description. You still get the spit-free enjoyment of snus.

DOS is apparently the leading edge in this new product, and I had the pleasure of sampling the citrus variety. The cans are different from normal snus cans. Perhaps this is another change, perhaps not. Either way, they are oblong, thin containers with two compartments, a small one to store used portions, and a larger one which holds the unused ones. It’s very discreet and doesn’t easily show in the pocket, which I really enjoyed.

The aroma is very faint but is indeed of citrus, and to be up front, these portions are incredibly dry. If say almost bone dry. If you handle one and roll it in your fingers you hear a sound not unlike dry leaves in autumn being crushed. The portion size is very slim and does not show when in your lip, which for the low key user is another added plus.

The first portion I tried, I did as advised and chewed it a little. Textually this gave me shivers. The sensation of dry portion material on my teeth is insanely unenjoyable. I like it to an oral version of fingernails on a chalkboard. However, this could just be me. But I definitely didn’t enjoy chewing it. The aim with chewing is to present some moisture to the dry portions and speed the nicotine buzz.

I found the delay in just going straight to the upper lip to be minor. It took about 10 minutes to fully moisten, but once it did, not only did I get a pleasant nicotine hit, but I also enjoyed a very flavorful product. The citrus notes I seemed to glean most were orange and to a lesser extent lemon. Being as dry as it is, I found myself enjoying it for a solid two to three hours before running out of flavor. Not a drip, just for it to not have that citrus flavor anymore.

It’s always good to try new things, and Nordic Chew, while essentially snus in every other way, is just different enough to be a changeup in my rotation, and honestly the most pleasant surprise you could expect. Aside from my textural nightmare with chewing it, I find no faults to speak of with Nordic Chew,  and I will give it a solid
If you are one of those souls who can no longer have “snus”, rejoice that Nordic Chew is an exceptional alternative for you to enjoy. I for one want to try the other flavor selections offered and see if they’re all as good as this.

Kaliber + White Portion Snus VS Thunder Original Nordic Chew

“I absolutely loved the Thunder NORDIC chew and will definitely be seeing it more often under my lip from now on”

Hej guys! In this review we are going to be comparing Kaliber + white portion snus and Thunder original Nordic chew against one another.

Right so let’s start with Kaliber!!

On opening the can of Kaliber you are greeted with a nice light and slightly herbal Smell with some citrus notes in the background. The taste of this snus is very subtle for the first few minutes you can’t really notice much but then you start to taste the citrus and herbal flavors very gently which is shortly followed by a light tobacco taste. I found I could keep the portion in for about an 40 – 45minutes before I noticed any drip at all. It took around 30 minutes or so before I could even feel the nicotine start to kick in as well, as this is definitely quite a light snus.

Would be a good one for people who are new to snus! But doesn’t really pack enough of a punch for me.

Now on to the Thunder!!

Right to start of I just want to let you all know that Nordic chew is very much the same as snus, the biggest difference is how the manufacturer prepares the tobacco. You don’t need to chew the Nordic chew bags and there’s. I need to spit like there is with regular chew. So don’t be scared to try them!!

On opening the can of Thunder you are greeted by a very pleasant tobacco smell with some slight herbal smells in the background. The taste of this product is fantastic it tastes of tobacco with some herbal notes that aren’t to overpowering and you get this right from the start. After a while I even started to notice a almost pepper like taste but only very very lightly. The Thunder chew has a amazing long lasting flavor that still tasted great for up to hour and doesn’t really drop that much either so win win. The nicotine on this greets you nice and early on as with all Thunder products as it’s quite a strong one. I’d say I could notice it after about 5 minutes.

I absolutely loved the Thunder chew and will definitely be seeing it more often under my lip from now on.
