“Offroad Gold Selection really is a golden selection”
It’s time to rate this nice little fella, Offroad Gold Selection Portion.
I must say that I was really happy when I saw the can, cause it is a really fine can with nice golden details on a carbon black background. It really has a stylistically pure impact, almost as when you lay your eyes on a perfectly designed car – a pure satisfaction for the eye. So basicly, you get the feeling that it’s a snus for real snusers, at least I did!
The description from the producer of the snus, described it as a “classic tobacco taste with hints of bergamot.” Once I opened the can, a nice tobacco and citrus mixed aroma just spread through the room. So, my first impression of the snus was “Alright, the smell is perfect”.
So how about the taste?
One thing that did cross my mind, was that the bags was not as filled. So I nearly knew from the beginning that the bag was going to twist itself, once it start to run. The bags are moist, but not so you get smudgy on your fingers. So, I put one under the lip, and the tobacco smell sustained with a strong flavour. This, and a really, really nice citrus taste. And I’ll have to agree with the producer, it has a nice hint of bergamot. So, to say about the taste is that Offroad Gold Selection really is a golden selection.
The nicotine kicked in fast, just about 25 minutes. But it did only last for about an hour and half. But don’t get me wrong, it’s no shame in that, cause it’s a very pleasing hour and a half! And considering the fact that the bags are not so well packed, I must say that I was honestly surprised that it did last so long.
Offroad Gold Selection gets an from me.
I would recommend this to everyone, cause it is a nice snus experience!
Until next time

“it gets the job done and doesn’t leave the user disappointed”
Do you enjoy frugality as much as snus? If so, V2 Tobacco’s Offroad Original portion snus should be at the top of your list. But what is wrong with being cheap? I argue nothing is. This may not be the snus you turn to when sitting in front of your fire place and reading the unabridged version of Les Misérables, and you certainly won’t impress a Swede (especially because it is Danish), but I wholeheartedly argue this snus should not be overlooked. This snus may not shine, but it does not shrivel. Instead it delivers a middle of the road, yet admirable, snus experience at a very reasonable price.
This snus has a strong, sweet, citrus and bergamot flavor. To some, it will be overpowering – and it is strong – however I think this flavor compliments the light tobacco undertone of the snus nicely. It is not a subtle or complex flavor, and it will surly disappoint the more refined and discriminating. Admittedly, I would not serve this snus to anyone I wanted to impress. You might want to be careful what you drink while using it, too. Still, overall the taste is agreeable and entirely appropriate as a go-to snus to get you through the day.
Offroad Original has an average, and I would say appropriate, nicotine content. You can feel it carefully creep in during the first two minutes, stay for about twenty minutes, and then gently wash out. Those who need a nicotine rush will want to upgrade to Offroad’s bigger brother, the Thunder line of snuses, however I think the nicotine is well balanced in this snus and makes for a rather delightful experience. It might not wake you up in the morning, yet I can say that without a doubt that it gets the job done and doesn’t leave the user disappointed.
Overall, this snus rates a There is no getting around the fact that this is a mediocre snus. While I enjoy this snus, I would be lying if I said it was great. It’s not. But frankly, it also isn’t offensive. Furthermore, given its typically price, and the fact that it is almost always on sale, I argue it punches well above its weight and is a better option than quite a few more expensive snuses that don’t measure up to the cash you are throwing down.

“an inexpensive snus option”
So the can of the Offroad Selection Blue snus is quite a basic looking an with no real sex appeal however the Snus is a different story.
When you first open the can the smell is of tobacco with juniper and peppery notes coming through later and smells great.
The taste is a juniper predominant taste with some peppery notes and tobacco hints coming through after a 5-10 minutes but it also had a instant cooling effect when I put the portion under my lip which surprised me but in a pleasant way.
Offroad selection blue snus is an inexpensive snus option for those still new to snusing to try out and I feel like it would be a good one for them to try.
I give it
