“I have to say guys… this is gold”
As you can tell by the name these pouches are small. I have not used mini-snus since my first couple of years when I first started using snus. At that time we called it “tjejsnus” which in english translates to girl-snus. I think they started to make mini pouches so it would also be “appropriate” for girls to start buying and using it. Who gives an eff today, seriously? Everyone can and should use snus, since it’s delicious.
Offroad Melon Mini White Portion is a really good snus. I took two at the same time because otherwise it would disappear under my lip and get lost somewhere haha. I’m not that fond of snus with flavor anymore but this, I must say, is a hit. It smells like melon gum, it got that nice hint of classic tobacco and it sits well under the lip. White portion means minimal drip, the best kind of drip in my opinion.
I recently got the “privilege” to try extremely strong snus, so the Offroad was a real vacation so to speak. Beacause the pouches are smaller, ofcourse it will be less nicotine. But as I did take two at the same time I guess it’s more like a regular pouch. The nicotine kicked in after about 10 minutes or so, and I could keep it in for about 45 minutes.
I was thinking about writing a joke in the style of “oh, they really got offroad with this one” before trying it, but I have to say guys… this is gold.

“it gets the job done and doesn’t leave the user disappointed”
Do you enjoy frugality as much as snus? If so, V2 Tobacco’s Offroad Original portion snus should be at the top of your list. But what is wrong with being cheap? I argue nothing is. This may not be the snus you turn to when sitting in front of your fire place and reading the unabridged version of Les Misérables, and you certainly won’t impress a Swede (especially because it is Danish), but I wholeheartedly argue this snus should not be overlooked. This snus may not shine, but it does not shrivel. Instead it delivers a middle of the road, yet admirable, snus experience at a very reasonable price.
This snus has a strong, sweet, citrus and bergamot flavor. To some, it will be overpowering – and it is strong – however I think this flavor compliments the light tobacco undertone of the snus nicely. It is not a subtle or complex flavor, and it will surly disappoint the more refined and discriminating. Admittedly, I would not serve this snus to anyone I wanted to impress. You might want to be careful what you drink while using it, too. Still, overall the taste is agreeable and entirely appropriate as a go-to snus to get you through the day.
Offroad Original has an average, and I would say appropriate, nicotine content. You can feel it carefully creep in during the first two minutes, stay for about twenty minutes, and then gently wash out. Those who need a nicotine rush will want to upgrade to Offroad’s bigger brother, the Thunder line of snuses, however I think the nicotine is well balanced in this snus and makes for a rather delightful experience. It might not wake you up in the morning, yet I can say that without a doubt that it gets the job done and doesn’t leave the user disappointed.
Overall, this snus rates a There is no getting around the fact that this is a mediocre snus. While I enjoy this snus, I would be lying if I said it was great. It’s not. But frankly, it also isn’t offensive. Furthermore, given its typically price, and the fact that it is almost always on sale, I argue it punches well above its weight and is a better option than quite a few more expensive snuses that don’t measure up to the cash you are throwing down.

“So small but so huge impact”
today we gathered here to celebrate Snus history. My humble self has been chosen by the Snus council to experience a new dimension of pouch-sizes. Before reading further, forget everything you thought you knew: It has been proven, smaller actually can be better!
“How is that?”, you might ask, for “the bigger, the better” has always been common knowledge? The wind is turning my friend and it has a minty scent of change to it. So Pixar movies always told us the truth? Something that small can really have a huge impact? I tell you what I like about this Snus. It’s this freshness that slaps you in the face, wakes up all your nerves and makes you ready to face the modern battles of our society, while at the same time being so insignificantly small.
So finally I get to the facts: I am comparing here two Mini-Versions. “Thunder Frosted Mini” with 16 mg/g nicotine and “Offroad Mint Mini White” with 8 mg/g nicotine. This is the same amount like their bigger brothers have. But with the pouches being half the size of normal pouches, of course you have to keep in mind, they are also just half as strong.
First thing you notice when you’re freshly opening the cans is the slight burn in your nose like a cold breeze of air, with the “Offroad Mint Mini White” smelling a lot more fresh, like a green mint plant. Therefore I like it much better, even though I think it would be better of when just as strong as the “Thunder Frosted Mini”.
Dripping starts after 1:15h for the “Thunder Frosted Mini” and a record breaking 2:00h for the “Offroad Mint Mini White”. But of course a comparison in this category isn’t fair. I haven’t tried the mini versions before and really like the fact, that you just barely feel them under your lip. An “Offroad Mint White” version with the strength of the “Thunder Frosted Mini” would be the perfect one for me!
What do you think about small pouches? Can they keep up with their bigger brothers?
