1. What personal information do we collect?

Northerner may collect information that is personally identifiable to you. This information may include:

  • Contact details such as name, address, phone number and e-mail address.
  • Age, birth date, and gender.
  • Order information, for example order number, date, products, quantity, price, and shipping and payment methods, including purchasing history.
  • Payment details, such as payment method, transaction time, paid amount and IP address. Any payments made are processed by third-party payment processors. We do not directly collect or store any payment card information entered through our Site, but we may receive information associated with your payment card information (e.g., your billing details).
  • Account information, such as account number, username, password and date of registration.
  • Correspondence and other information you provide to us related to support matters such as notes and emails from contacts with Customer Care.
  • Feedback and survey responses, which may include personal information relating to your lifestyle and usage of our products.
  • Information we collect automatically about your use of our Site and interaction with our marketing communication, for example IP address, geolocation data, device information (technical information about the computer, mobile phone and other devices you use, such as browser settings, time zone, and operating system), browsing and searches.

2. From which sources do we collect information about you?

We collect information through direct interactions with you, as well as by automated technologies such as cookies and web beacons. For example, when you submit an order to us, create an account, complete one of our surveys or contact us via the Site’s webform, you are asked to provide us with various personal information. We may also combine your personal information with information we receive from third parties such as analytics providers, advertising networks and data brokers or aggregators.

3. Why do we process personal information?

We collect and process personal information about you for various purposes, mainly the purposes described below and for any other purposes stated at the point of collection. Kindly note that this is a general description of our processing and that all processing may not be applicable to your personal information.

  • To administrate your user account and profile.
  • To manage orders and purchases, including processing your financial information and other payment methods for purchases.
  • To verify your age for a purchase.
  • To manage support matters with Customer Care or our Privacy Team, for example correcting incorrect information and authenticating users that interact with our Site and Customer Care.

4. Regarding your birth date and minors

We ask you to provide your birth date when placing an order. We require this information in order to verify your age to comply with legal age limit limitations for the sale of tobacco and/or nicotine products.

We do not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from any person under the age of twenty-one. No parts of our Site are directed to or designed to attract anyone under the age of twenty-one.

5. How may we share information?

We may share your information with our service providers to perform the functions for which we engage them. For example, we may use third parties to host the Site or assist us in providing functionality on the Site, provide data analysis on the Site, deliver our products, and process payments. We may also disclose information to companies for usage in the evaluation and disclosure of reviews of our products and services and our Site, as well as market research.

We may share your personal information with third-party advertising partners. These third-party advertising partners may set cookies, pixels, and other tracking tools on our Sites to collect information regarding your activities and your device (e.g., your IP address, cookie identifiers, page(s) visited, location, time of day). We may share your information with other companies of the Haypp Group, for business and operational purposes. We may also share your information with other businesses with whom we have a relationship so that they can provide you with information about products and services that may be of interest to you.

Additionally, we may share information that we collect from users as needed to enforce our rights, protect our property or protect the rights, property or safety of others, or as needed to support external auditing, compliance and corporate governance functions. We will disclose personal information as we deem necessary to respond to a subpoena, regulation, binding order of a data protection agency, legal process, governmental request or other legal or regulatory process. We may also share personal information as required to pursue available remedies or limit damages we may sustain. 6. How do we protect your information?

We are always striving to protect your personal information by implementing a variety of security measures designed to prevent unauthorized intrusion to the Site and the alteration, acquisition or misuse of your information. 8. What Privacy Rights and Choices May Be Available?

Each of these categories may have been shared with our Marketing and Advertising Partners for the purpose of providing targeted advertising and marketing.

No Discrimination. You have a right not to receive discriminatory treatment by us for the exercise of the privacy rights conferred by applicable state law.

How to Exercise Your Privacy Rights

In connection with any personal information we may collect through cookies, for your deletion request to be effective, you must also delete cookies using each device and browser you use in connection with our website. Verification Methods. Once you submit a request, we will verify that you are the consumer to which the request pertains by matching the identifying information provided by you (e.g., name, email address, account-related information) to the information we maintain. Depending on the type of request you submit, we will attempt to match either two or three of the data points you provided. If we are unable to verify your request with the data points you provided, we may reach out to you for additional information to verify your request.

Authorized Agent. You can select an “authorized agent” to submit requests on your behalf. We will require the authorized agent to have a written authorization confirming that authority. We may also require you to verify your own identity directly with us. Once your authorized agent is verified, they may submit a request in the typical way described above.

9. How Long do We Retain Personal Information?

Our purposes for Collecting Personal Information

Financial Incentive Programs

We provide financial incentives to individuals who register an account on our website, sign up to receive communications from us, or response to a survey. The information we request may include email address, phone number, name, birthday, product preferences or other information that allows us to tailor our communications. Participation is always voluntary. As financial incentive, we provide personalized coupons, promotions, and other discounts or offers, which helps us establish a relationship with our customers. The value of this personal information data varies based on the offer provided, the amount purchased for using that offer, and value of future offers the customer receives from us and uses to make purchases. The personal information also generates value for us in our internal data analytics solutions, primarily based on anonymized customer data, where we strive to understand what matters to our customers in order to improve our business and deliver relevant value to our customers.

California “Shine the Light” Disclosure

California residents have the right under certain circumstances to receive, once a year, information about third parties with whom we have shared information about you or your family for their marketing purposes during the previous calendar year, and a description of the categories of personal information shared. Our Site does not currently take any action when it receives a Do Not Track request.
