We pull products out of inventory in advance of "sell-by" and "best-by" dates

• • That's 2 weeks before the sell by date after which the product has another 4 weeks of shelf life, or 6 weeks before the best by date. Whichever way the manufacturer codes the product, we pull it out of inventory a resulting 6 weeks before the shelf life "ends", per the manufacturer guidelines
