Knekt Loose snus

Released in 2011 by Fiedler & Lundgren, Knekt loose snus is classed as a Fine ground loose snus which means that the tobacco pieces are a bit smaller than a coarse grind type. Fine ground loose tends to be a bit harder to hand mold into a prilla and using a portioning tool, like an Icetool or Prismaster, is recommended for those just starting out with fine ground loose. We used a 3 ml Icetool for our test of Knekt loose and with medium pressure, the prilla was very comfortable in the lip and held its shape for over two hours before beginning to fall apart. The moisture level is moderate and really doesn’t drip that much. Each can of Knekt loose has approximately 37 grams of snus with a Nicotine content of 8 mg. per gram. The can that Knekt loose comes in is made from blue plastic, both the body and the lid, and forms a pretty tight seal so there’s no worry of accidental opening in your pocket. The lid is also embossed with Knekt’s trademark Fleur-de-lis which makes it look pretty classy but enough about the can, let’s talk about the flavor! Knekt loose is considered to be a “Value Priced” snus which typically translates into “low price, low quality” but as with the entire Knekt line, this is not the case and it comes thru in the flavor of Knekt loose! What we taste is the earthy, leathery flavors of the quality mix of tobaccos mixed with salt and a hint of bergamot (which is a lemon/grapefruit flavor combination). The overall flavor of Knekt loose is one that’s simply of tradition; tobacco, salt and bergamot, and which lasts for over two hours, just like it’s higher priced cousins. We feel that Knekt loose is the perfect snus for the beginner looking for a traditionally flavored loose snus that has a moderate Nicotine kick as well as the seasoned snus user looking for a quality loose that’s a bit lower in price. While this is what we think, we want to hear from you so, be sure to leave a review of your own. We’ll be waiting to read it!
